As danger later comes the online MMORPG Alphein online, both worlds will have to work together to save the world...Let's start of with gameplay: I found the combat mechanics to be rather enjoyable to mess around with and all in all it wasn't bad what so ever; Keyboard controls worked fine, I my self had no issues playing this with a keyboard and mouse, I also found it the same for my Xbox controller (not sure about PS4). the graphics were good and I myself had no issues when it came to lag or crashes. Apart from that, there is not much to say gameplay wise.Story: The story of Accel world vs Sword art online is cannon to the main series of both AW and SAO, even so it was an enjoyable story that managed to pull both timelines together nicely without making it seem stupid or weird; there was a reason to it all and later in the story manages to thow in some plot holes which I personally enjoyed.Cons: I can't think of many cons, however... after you complete the main story, there's not usally many people playing multi, granted this is an issue with many single player games that add a multi-player feature. 1 other issue I had was when you come to a part in a story where you need to do a certian action to continue but the game doesn't tell you how (it was easy to figure out though, even easier if you use a controler) but apart from that, nothing else I can say was bad.I recommend this game to any one who likes SAO and Accel world, though I do recommend you watch/read both series before you start, other wise you're going to miss out alot of refrences and not know everything that's going on.. As of writing this review I've played for 160 minutes..First of all I think this game is 'Okay' though I wouldn't pay $50 for it..If you haven't watched both series you will probaly also think the game sucks.The beginning is very hard to understand and the controls on mouse an keyboard suck.Thats why I really recommend playing with a controller...I'd give the game a 7.2/10 cause I'm a fan of both series ( AW is better though :P )You can play with the characters of both series in the same party (example: Silver Crow + Kirito + Black Lotus)Combat can be kind of awkward but also really fast at the same time. Flying is kind of a weird while fighting.. Yhis blows in my opinion cause SAO Charaters can all fly.. Story line has been pretty good so far. (I won't spoil anything that is not shown in the trailer) The 2 VR Worlds merge together cause of the tower thingy which keeps the world stable (forgot the name.. sorry) This is cause AW Characters went back in time and join the ALO servers. They do this cause of a character called "The witch" (called so in the trailer) and help Kirito and Asuna to rescue Yui Thats all I know so far..Quik TL;DR (Too long didn't read) Fun but not worth $50 (please only buy it on sale)Only play if you've watched both series IMOWeird controls on mouse and keyboard. Great game. recommended to use a controller instead of a keyboard and mouse. game is very poorly optimized cant even change the graphic on it and when i try to switch it to my gtx 1080 graphic manually, it says no monitor cuz its not recognizing the graphic card or the monitor. Very bad port--> launcher crash (so can't even configure video card)--> game makes PC overheat (even forcing Nvidia GPU selection)--> Impossible to play without a gamepad, keyboard playing is just completely dumb (camera moves with ijkl keys...)--> except for combat movement, no tutorial to explain how to save game, where is is the main menu (eg : to open the map or close the game)The game itself seems interresting but i think i'll go for a refund for the first time, this game port is a pure scam. KYL is also awesome (those wing-flapping...)+ Some missions (read: Infinite Dungeon) are actually a lot more fun in multiplayer+ Playing as anyone (but Yui *sighs*. I wanted to try being a tiny pixie)+ Control is controller-friendly (couldn't go back to keyboard after playing on controller for 20+ hrs)+ FREAKING NEW GAME PLUS! THANK YOU DEVS. Good if you want to replay the story, especially considering there's no "replay cutscene".+ "Say It Miss Strea" is a bit hilarious. Watch episode 4. Or 3.+ Translation/localization is finally bearable. Some things are still lost in translation, but most are clear enough.+ Buffs. And debuffs. Unless they're casted on you :vDisliked:- Buggy game, crashing at random times (seems to be worse in Mugen).- AW feels more like a plot-device here. Also, not again, Kirito! But you're predictable like that- Fanservice AKA jiggle physics, especially with Seven. No, just no, (Gimme an option to turn that off, please? I want to watch the hair, not the other thing)- Story is a bit convoluted/confusing and "meh". Might get predictable if you actually read the text. The (near) climax moved me to tears, though. Stupid time travel plot- Quest direction is a bit vague; you need a guide for this..- Bosses are recycled quite often. You'll be dead bored of the bosses if you did 100 I.D. floors in one run (fatal boredom :v)Personal guilty pleasures(?) :v (skip to P.S.)- Watching Kirito's remain light is fun! Especially hearing him apologizing. His advice when he's very low on HP is something players should do (I'm serious). Though I want to cackle madly whenever he exclaims in disbelief on a teammates defeat.- Asuna's Undine wings~! Also, Undine blue hair.- Kirito (and Taku) pushing Sumeragi's buttons.- Running around as Pado's beast form. My dream is fulfilled in this game.- Bashing Elucidator and Dark Repulser on bosses. (I'm still looking at you, Heathcliff)- Beating the SAO characters to dust.- Turning into remain light midair.- You can have an ironic team, have Asuna and Kirito dressed as KoB members and play Heathcliff. =)- Have Kirito's and Vabel's remain light next to each other while you play as Asuna. =)- Watch Scarlet's Invicible sitting on top of a boss :v- Hearing Vabel exclaim "Mama" or "Papa".- Watching the fairy wings flaps (hover mode or when turning around in flight mode)- Soaring the sky using Raker's gale thruster(?).P.S.Someone called BK Brent (played the PS4 version of this) wrote a guide.READ IT. Just. Read. It.EDIT: BK Brent dropped the game by December 2017, but his guide is still valid. And a great place to start, really.. Get a controller or else ur gonna be a monkey at this.. Very good game and story are amazing just the quest a bit confused need a way point navigation for better gameplay.. It is a good game and I personally am a huge fan of SAO and Accel World.The voice acting, maps & scenic routes, and animations are very well made in my opinion. It is everything you see in the gameplay trailer which makes it really enjoyable.However, there are of course some problems. There are random glitches once in a while, such as getting stuck underground, and the combat mechanics can be sort of a problem sometimes (it isn't all bad but once in a while it can be quite buggy and don't work well as you want it to). Online is not bad but as you would expect it can be rather buggy and laggy. It can get pretty repetitive but I think thats a pretty normal aspect.It is recommended that you play with a controller. A keyboard is not impossible but its much easier with a controller.If you really want the game, you can get it but personally I would suggest getting it during discounts..
